I 've removed all the covers and am thinking about throwing them in the washer. The tags on each cover give no care instructions.I may call the cushion manufacturer tomorrow and ask what they recommend. Any advice? Thanks, HvyHauler 2000 Lance 1130 2006 Dodge CTD 3500 DRW/4x4 QC 2007 Mountaineer 336RLTS 2006 Dodge 3500 DRW SLT 4x4 LB QC CTD PullRite SuperGlide 2007 Mountaineer 336RLT Mich. Dry on a line or laved out on a flat surface. Your call to the manufacturer is a good idea. 93 Ford F350 Turbo Diesel, DRW, Crew Cab. I also buy the degreaser and pre-spray the fabric allowing the chemical to do the work. The hot water extraction process does a great job. No worries about damaging the fabric or shrinkage. I'll also recommend replacing the Scotch Guard afterward. It can be purchased in cans or in bulk and applied with a pump-up sprayer. Use a carpet cleaner to clean them. | bighonkinf350 Vancouver,WA Full Member Joined: 05/17/2004 View Profile Good Sam RV Club Member Offline | We have a 2000 Lance 1030. I've removed the covers and machine washed them in cold water on "gentle" cycle with Woolite. Machine dry on "delicate" and they came out just fine. Have done this twice since we'ved owned it. Without ill effects. I would need to ask DW to see what the settings were. They have zippers, so they came off easily. That was a 2002 Lance 915. Asking the manufacturer for info is never a bad idea. You might also check the manual for information. Lance have all manuals online for download if you don't have yours handy. We also tried to wash the curtains. Now *that* was not a good idea. Came out in shreds. On the plus side, we now have new curtains... Press with warm iron while still damp, cause they will show wrinkles. And check the seams after washing--some of the cushion fabrics ravel a lot in the washing machine. Ah, those curtains! Remember when they were a fabric/fibre glass combo? Can't wash those in a home washer--the fibre glass gets on everything you put in the machine in the next loads. And washing by hand? Back breaking in the tub, and they never feel clean. 2013 GMC 3500 DRW, D/A, 4W 2012 Lance 1191 Tincansailor at the wheel. I think I would use a Hoover floor shampooer with the hose attachment to clean the next time. | coinless denton, TX Full Member Joined: 03/10/2002 View Profile Offline | Use a front load washer only. Wash on gentle cycle and hang dry. Then dry them on no heat for 20 min to loosen up the fibers and make it soft. If they fall apart then they needed to be replaced anyway. 2006 Ford F350 DRW, 4wd, 2007 Lance 1131, towing a 2000 Super Air Nautique. The covers came through the wash fine and look like new plus they smell clean now too.Now to stuff the foam back in and zip em up. HvyHauler | | | |
